Parking at Train Stations
There are a great deal of accidents that occur within different parking conditions normally due to the extra hazard of pedestrians.
However, the places you park your car can also cause serious hazards to other drivers.
Here are some instructions on how to park your car safely
Parking at Train Stations
If you have to park at the station or if you are dropping off a passenger, follow these simple rules:
If you are dropping of passengers, wait patiently for a space to become available within the drop-off area
Do not try to queue jump, this will only fuel anger in other drivers.
Only use the drop-off area if you are doing just that. Do not park your vehicle and leave it unattended.
Make sure, if parking within the station car park, that you park straight and correctly within the allotted parking bays to maximise the number of cars that can use the car park.
If there are no parking spaces available within the official car park, make sure that where ever you park poses no problems of access for other vehicles.
Ensure you reduce your speed around stations and be aware of pedestrians.
When leaving the parking area, queue patiently for a free exit gate. Do not try jumping from one queue to another as that will only cause further delays. |
